Underground Equipment Regional Territory Manager

Municipal Equipment, Inc. (MEI) is seeking a motivated and experienced Underground Equipment Regional Territory Manager to join our growing team. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and representing our underground and wet waste product lines across assigned territories. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven professional with a strong understanding of equipment sales and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Territory Development

  • Promote and sell Municipal Equipment’s underground and wet waste product lines throughout assigned territories.

  • Build and expand Municipal Equipment’s presence by maintaining and growing relationships with both existing and potential customers.

  • Develop and execute a territory plan to maximize coverage, sales growth, and market penetration.

  • Conduct in-person customer visits, calls, and follow-ups to identify opportunities and strengthen relationships.

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Coordinate all quotes, demonstrations, presentations, and delivery training in collaboration with the Service and Parts Departments.

  • Provide hands-on product demonstrations and operational support for new equipment deliveries.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate sales activity records using Municipal Equipment’s CRM and reporting tools.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams—including Service, Parts, and Administration—to ensure excellent customer service and fulfillment.

  • Prepare and review weekly activity reports with leadership, communicating goals, leads, and follow-up needs.

  • Represent Municipal Equipment at trade shows, industry meetings, and supplier events as needed.

Training & Professional Development

  • Attend all required product, manufacturer, and safety training sessions.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, equipment lines, and competitive products.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company guidelines for conduct and presentation.


Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience in heavy equipment, municipal, or related industries.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Comfortable conducting in-person presentations, equipment demos, and travel within the assigned region.

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).

  • CDL and clean driving record required (or ability to obtain within one year).


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus commission structure based on profit and performance.

  • Company credit card provided for approved business expenses.

  • Company vehicle provided after six months of employment; vehicle allowance during initial period.

  • Health insurance eligibility begins the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
